Prompt: Write for ten minutes about creating from the heart. When I made the above collage, I was trying to heal my heart (emotional not physical). What does it mean to create from the heart? Reach in and dig deep. Where is the center of your creativity?

           think that creative           writing can come
       can come from anywhere         but the heart? It is just
           that sometimes my        heart hurts. Words that
               flow are useless     while my heart doesn't
                     shine. Ask       Gaiman, he knows all
                          about the         dusty heart who
                               without        her truth 
                                   just          cannot
                                       shine

I had a hard time with this one. Maybe I wasn’t feeling heart full. Maybe I was feeling heart broken. Maybe I’m not as recovered as I thought. What I’d really like to achieve is the “broken heart” but with each half making sense as stand alone prose, but if read together they make sense. I’ll try to cycle back to this.
